Party like..it's your Birthday.....

Okay, I've come to realize that I am not getting any younger! Sigh........in fact I feel like I'm going from a nice cute grape to a wrinkley raisin somewhat faster than I anticipated. BOTOX, PLEASE!!!!

Actually, birthdays don't bother me that much.....it's the part when you start seeing kids you used to babysit get married & have babies & have these great careers, and you're kind of like.....you're not OLD enough to do that stuff......but then realize, that they ARE!!!!! OUCH!!!

Well, the new job is still keeping me fairly busy. I kind of freaked the middle part of this week, because I still have SOOOOOO much to learn and at times felt pretty overwhelmed. But, I've de-stressed and am just going to take it one day at a time. I do like the company, they are AWESOME!! And I like working from home....that is pretty AWESOME!! And I love the people....they are AWESOME!! But I miss being around people everyday, but with anything, I think it's just something you get used to. And you know what....NO OFFICE POLITICS!! Woo HOO!!

Camden has been either really grumpy, teething his molars, or has another ear infection.....I can't tell which! If you look at him the wrong way, he falls to the floor crying & screaming. It takes me by surprise everytime because usually he is so laid back! Is this a preview of the (GULP) "Terrible Two's" I've been hearing so much about!?

I need to get more diligent about posting more than once a week!

My brain is TIRED!!!

I am sooooooooooo brain dead right now!

I am in Plano again for training for a couple of days. I'm not crazy about being away from Camden, but I'm so busy at work and there is so much to learn that the day passes very fast. There are times when I feel really ignorant because there is just a VAST amount of information to learn and figure out what to do with it. Everyone says that it takes really up to a year to feel comfortable. That is what is hard for me, because I like to know what I am doing---but I am trying really hard not to stress out!

Okay ya'll, I haven't got to check my favorite blogs so I've got to get updated on what's been going on!!!!

The Bathroom from Hell - Remodeled!

We pretty much have the bathroom finished. Still need to paint the trim work and doors, but I am so happy that I can't complain! I posted the before & after pics. (okay ya'll, the before is definately the ugly wood cabinets and the green wallpaper)

A BRAND NEW ADVENTURE

This was my first day at the new job with the super fabulous software company.

Can I say.....OH MY GOSH!! There are a bunch of super fabulous SMART SMART SMART SMART people who work there.....it made me feel alittle less super fabulous!!

I do think I will enjoy everything once I learn about what the job entails and what the guidelines are and the technical stuff that goes along with it.

Danny and Camden are on their own right now. I left Sunday night to get here so that I could have a good night's sleep and start the job rested. Camden was whiny all day Sunday. I suspect some of it is teething. Then today, Danny said the daycare worker said he just laid around all day and was listless. He was running a very low grade temp, also. Danny said he perked up when he got home, but I am still worried. I encouraged Danny to take him to the Doctor if he still wasn't acting right.

I am worried that he just might miss me, too. It makes my stomach hurt when I think of him suffering and that there is nothing that I can do for him.

Wish me luck guys!!

My Last Day

Oh my gosh, ya'll---I can't believe my last day at this job is officially here! Still alittle sad, but I think once I just leave and get prepared for the other, I will be fine!

I woke up alittle stressed because I was late, Camden is still somewhat puny (his poop was borderline diarrhea, but I decided to send him to school anyway), Danny wouldn't get out of bed on time, as we were leaving Camden spit up milk all over the place (STINKY!!), rechanged him and rebrushed his teeth..........arghhhhhhh!! I'm ready to CHILL!

I don't have too much to blog about just because my mind feels like Jello!

I'm Blue!

Feeling kind of blue today!

Although I am excited about the new position, the last few days on a job are always kind of tedious and anxious for me.

I guess it is just nerves due to change. Also, just seeing yourself being replaced is just plain weird and humbling at the same time. It always reminds me that no one person is irreplacable. Then everyone says, "We'll keep in touch"....and you know deep down, that just won't happen...never does.

Sigh.....I can't wait until Monday! I want to be refreshed and excited---that feels SOOOOOO much better!

Edible Contacts

I forgot to write this.....

I was getting ready for work yesterday and I acidentally dropped my contact. Camden was at my feet playing while I searched for it. Never found it.....beginning to wonder if HE found it and ATE it?

Actually, I am too embarrassed to call the pediatrician because I called like 300 million times about the whole virus thing. I think they think I call too much!! :)

Camden's still sick!

BOY HOWDY, YA'LL!! I am calling in every favor in the book to find "sick" child care for Camden!

I can't bring him back to daycare because he is still running slight fever and had a diarrhea episode last night. AND that it is a major pet peeve of mine when someone brings a sick kid to class.

Yesterday, I got Danny's grandparents to watch him for half a day. Today, my parents are watching him until noon and then Danny's Aunt is going to watch him until we get home from work. I called in to check on my parents and they said he seemed to be in a good humor and was acting like he felt better. Hopefully tommorrow we can just bring him to school!

I have sort of a sad/funny story: I got home last night and picked up Camden. While I was talking to his grandmother, he bit me on the shoulder. I was so taken aback that I yelled "NO CAMDEN, NO!!." I said it louder than I intended because Camden & grandmother both were startled! Then Camden looked at me then to his grandmother, then back to me and started crying. HE WAS EMBARRASSED! It made me feel so bad! BUT, he didn't try to bite me again!!

My Life with Poop

It seems here lately that my life is dominated by poop. Baby poop!

Episode #1
I was getting Camden ready for his bath Saturday evening and saw that he appeared a little constipated---you know, little nuggets everywhere! So as I was taking off the offending diaper, I hear a slight THUD hit the floor. I knew immediately what it was, BUT COULDN'T FIND IT ANYWHERE!!

So there I was with a naked boy, an offending diaper in my hand and looking everywhere for this little nugget o' poo. I called in Danny with a flashlight to find the little jewel. He looked everywhere...under the bed, under the baby bed, under the dresser and side table---NOTHING! Now, I KNOW I heard something hit the ground...and I am a clean freak....and when it comes to excrement---welllll.....I freak out anyway!

So, I told Danny to keep looking and went to put Camden in the bathtub. As I was putting him in, I happened to look down at the bottom of my shoe......

GUESS WHAT....I found it!! And it wasn't little by any means at all. It looked similar to a cow patty! And I slowly realized that I had been tracking this ALL OVER MY CARPET! I started hollering for Danny to help me. He and Camden just ended up laughing at me...I threw my tennis shoes away (IT WAS SO DISGUSTING!!! And I am NOT going to scrape little boy cow patties out of the many grooves of a tennis shoe!). Then I got every cleaner, scrubber, deoderizer, AND disinfectant known in the free world and went to work scrubbing down and cleaning the carpet.

I ended up with a very clean carpet and an adversion to poop nuggets.

Episode #2

Was sitting in Jury Duty when I got a call that Camden was sick....of course, I immediately thought of Episode #1.

So I picked him up and he threw up and had diarrhea for the rest of the day Monday. Tuesday, he had stopped vomiting but had this awful diarrhea for most of the day. Today, he had a few loose stools and only threw up when I gave him a cup of milk.

I don't think I've changed that many diapers in one day!! IT WAS AWFUL---he has this really bad diaper rash and when I starting taking him back to get his diaper changed, he starts screaming and crawling up my shoulder. It made my stomach just cringe!!

Actually, he acts like he feels a bit better today. He is not so clingy---Monday and Tuesday, I held him ALL DAY LONG! He looked so pathetic! I convinced Danny's grandparents to watch him half a day so that I could go to work and start cleaning out my desk and start tying things up.

I called the doctor and told her of Episode #1--but she seems to think it was just a stomach virus.

BUT, I am renting a Carpet Doctor just to be on the safe side. I totally PARANOID about it now!!

TEXAS LONGHORNS DOMINATE!

Just in case you haven't heard.....The Longhorns won! hahahaha!

I'm sure everyone knows that the men in my household are total Texas Longhorn fans----actually fanatics is more like it. We have Longhorn pictures, afghans, clothes, photographs, memorobilia EVERYWHERE. And we did name our son in honor of Major Applewhite (Camden Major.....okay people, my other alternative was Camden Earl--NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!). So the chance to win a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP is really a BIG BIG BIG BIG DEAL!

Danny went to his step-dad's apartment to watch the game as I knew there would be lots of screaming and yelling at the television. And Camden needs his sleep! I actually stayed home and got Camden to bed then sat alone and enjoyed the quiet! NO TV, NO RADIO, NO CRYING BABY, NO NOTHING! It was GREAT!!!! I really wouldn't mind if Danny had a guy's night out about once a month! It was good for both of us to have a break.

Anyhoo, Danny was at David's apartment along with his brother and Dr. Mike. He was nervous the entire time and as he paced, he kept drinking his favorite brew. Everything was fine until he sat down. Then the room starting spinning! His brother had to drive him home. Trust me, the next morning, poor Danny, had a very hard time getting ready for work! I felt pretty sorry for him!

Now, they are preparing for next year!

sigh...........

Two weeks notice

I gave my two week notice last Friday. I hate the last two weeks because you see yourself being replaced and it just feels WEIRD!!

I'm excited about this whole new adventure! I can't wait to get started!!!!! My husband seems pretty happy to other than he has to keep Camden by himself for a week while I am in Plano. So, my goal until then is to get Camden to sleep all the way through the night without having to get up and take him to bed with me.

Where in the heck do I start??

RICK WARNER ROCKS!!

By the way, Rick Warner is the carpenter who did our bathroom. He did an awesome job...and he isn't that bad to look at either! So, it was good all around!

We still have to paint the cabinets and replace our fixtures, but we'll get to that eventually! I AM SO PLEASED, I CAN'T STAND MYSELF!!

My other news, Camden walked by himself unassisted for the first time yesterday! He is a very LATE walker....I was almost afraid he would never get around to doing it!

My other other news, I am taking a new job with that super fabulous software company. I am so excited!!
