The case of the missing pizza slice

Okay you guys there is a BIG mystery going on in the office today!

Our runner, Matt, brought pizza for his lunch today. Well someone ate the pizza, took the leftovers and threw them in the bottom of the trash in the ladies bathroom!

CONTROVERSY!!

Food is a BIG thing in this office!! No one's fessed up yet!

I did eat his chips one time (by mistake), but I replaced them the next day! heehee---I was a suspect!! heeehee. But I would confess if I did it, I swear!

All I want for Christmas is a Good Night's Sleep!

Oh my.....how I wish I could sleep for eight straight hours!!!

Camden was up on and off all night long starting about 1:00 a.m. I wonder if he was having nightmares or something? He has had a cold for about a week but he is getting over that....

My mind is mush........can't think of anything else to talk about!

Do you want some cheese with that whine?

OH MY GOSH, YOU GUYS.....Camden has started WHINING all the time AND started throwing little tantrums. UGH! I suppose this is a habit he picked up at daycare (another reason why I hate daycare!!). But, I hope he gets out of the worst of it pretty soon. I can't stand a whiny kid!!!

Other than that, he is just as perfect as can be!

We put up the Christmas tree and decorations on Sunday. It is so festive!! Camden stands by the tree fascinated by the lights. He has been really good and hasn't tried to pull the tree or take off the ornaments.

Thanksgiving & such

It was soooo nice to be off for a long weekend!

Camden was sick, however, so we actually just stayed home. I was kind of glad to have a quiet Thanksgiving anyway!

Danny went to his parents house and got Thanksgiving dinner to bring home. Danny's mom & stepdad are getting a divorce, so it is very weird to have a family get together now! My parents went to Arkansas to see my other brothers & sister.

I did something I've never done before! I brought Camden to sleep with us in our bed early this morning! I swore I would never do that, but I didn't have a very good night's sleep and he was up pretty early this morning. I picked him up and layed down on the couch with him and AMAZINGLY he fell back asleep. Usually, he will wake up once you put him back in the crib and I couldn't stand the thought of letting him "cry it out" today. So, I took him to our bed and we all went back to sleep. I guess every once in a while isn't too bad, is it??

Kind of Gross!

This is sort of gross, but also kind of funny too!

I was giving Camden a bath yesterday. He won't stay in a bath seat or bath ring, so I just let him "swim" around the tub and keep an eye on him. He was having a blast playing with his toys and going from one end of the tub to the other. He got on his hands and knees and starting "growling." I was laughing because I thought he was pretending to be a lion (like he was at Halloween).

About that time, he looked up at me started laughing and pooped in the tub!! Then, he laughed hysterically! I, of course, was horrified! Poopy in the tub--ickk! I've never had that happen before!

I got him out, cleaned him up, and gave Danny the choice of dressing him or fishing for poop. Guess which one he picked?

Walgreens stink!

I went to Walgreens to pick up my blood pressure medicine. It is on an automatic refill to make it easy & convient for me.

I got there and the lady said that I had not picked it up within a week so they reshelved it. I told the lady that I got the message on Tuesday to pick it up--then I asked her if they go by a five day "week" or a seven day week. She said a seven day week.

Well, seven days isn't up until tommorrow, so why did they reshelf it?? She said she could have it ready in an hour. About then, Camden decided to throw the biggest tantrum I've ever seen! Wait an hour, yeah right!!

Is it irony that I'm going to get blood pressure medicine and they've made my blood pressure go through the roof?

Camden is PERFECTLY FINE!

Got the results back from the CAT scan. No brain abnormalities, no fluid around the brain, no nothing.....(well, except for a slight sinus infection)--Camden is perfectly fine!

I am so relieved that I can't express it adequately!

He got his first haircut this weekend. His hair is somewhat thin, but it grows right down the middle really long. He was beginning to look like Donald Trump. We got it evened up and he looks so sweet. I just love a little boy haircut!

AND, we took him outside and he stood on the grass without freaking out this time! For the longest time, he had this fear of grass----is there a scientific name for that?? Grassphobia?

Am I getting old??

There is this kid in our office (by "kid", I mean all of 22 years old) that just got engaged. He is the sweetest thing! Although, when he first told me, I sounded just like my parents going "aren't you too young?" "why don't you wait another year"

Ugh! What happened to my ideas of romance??? I can't believe I was being so PARENTAL!

Anyway, its so cute because he is kind of bashful about it. I wanted to get on the intercom and announce it to the whole office! (We were office mates for about a year before he got transfered to another department, so he still comes over to my office and catches me up on whats going on with him!).

Longview Regional Hospital

I was going to write this on my previous entry, but I forgot!

We had the best experience at Longveiw Regional. Generally, we have always used Good Shepherd, but Danny's insurance will only allow he & Camden to go to Regional. I was a little concerned because most everyone I know uses Good Shepherd and it is considered to be the best place to go if you need medical assistance.

However, I was impressed. The nurses were super duper nice, the place was clean, and everyone seemed HAPPY and glad to be there. I can't say enough about them.

Camden's CAT Scan

Yesterday was quite an adventure (I hope not a terrifying one) for Camden!

He had the CAT scan done at Longview Regional. Had to be there at 6:00 AM. We couldn't give the little one anything to eat or drink because he was going to have to be put under. SO, he was kind of cranky.

Once we got there, we were put in a holding room for about an hour and a half. We got him dressed in his little hospital gown (HE WAS SO CUTE!!) and tried to entertain him. They finally came to get us about 7:45 and took us to the CAT scan room. The lab tech said they wanted to at least try to give the scan without anthesthia.

HE DID EXCELLENT! They wrapped him up in a blanket and then strapped his head down and put him in the machine. He was just hollering, but as soon as the scan started, he stopped and laid perfectly still. I was so relieved that he did not have to go under!!

We will find out the results on Friday.

House is a mess.....

I have definately fallen behind on my housework! I still have to clean the bathroom and vacuum & dust.....but I've been SO tired in the evening the last few days that I have let it fall to the wayside.

What is hysterical, though....Let me tell you!

I fixed dinner last night and was about to start cleaning up the kitchen. Danny was worried about letting Camden out of the high chair because he was so messy from eating his dinner. So, Danny said he would clean the kitchen if I would go ahead and get Camden his bath. I know a good deal when I'm offered it!

So, got Camden bathed and dressed for bed and actually got to sit and play with him instead of cleaning & picking up & doing laundry, etc. etc. Basically, yesterday our roles just switched.

Meanwhile, Danny was in the kitchen just stressing out over all there was to get done. I found it somewhat funny because I go through that EVERYDAY -- (okay except for the last couple because I've been LAZY!!). And let me tell you, it IS aggravating when you are working hard & trying to get caught up & you look in the living room and see your significant other reclined back, watching TV, and not helping.

I think the end result is this: HE SAID HE WOULD HELP ME AT NIGHT!! Yippee!!

A biter on my hands!

Camden has started to bite people! Well, so far just me and his grandmother. I had to swat his behind Saturday on two separate occasions because he bit me so hard it bruised my arm.

Hopefully he has got the message. Yesterday, we were sitting on the couch and he started for my leg with his mouth open like he was going to bite. He put his mouth on my leg, but didn't bite, he just looked at me. I said VERY STERNLY, "If you bite, I will spank you." He immediately pulled away and started playing with a toy.

Could it be that he is taking me seriously now???????

On another note, Danny and I got to see a movie yesterday. We went to see "Derailed." The movie was fairly good....but just being able to relax and watch a movie and talk for several hours was really NICE. I hope to do it again soon....and maybe even go eat dinner or something!

Something funny!

I dropped Camden off at daycare this morning and he didn't cry or anything! I was so excited!! His friend, Lauren, was there and they started playing. Her mom told me that she and Camden were kissing while they were on the Bye-Bye Buggy yesterday.

I've had a REALLY stressful week ya'll!

Before I go into it, the birthday party and Halloween went great! Camden loved his party! He really got into eating his cake---he kept looking at me as if to say "You're not going to stop me from eating this?!! WOW!!" For Halloween, he was a lion---SO CUTE!!!

Anyway, back to the stress part! On Friday, I took Camden in for his 12 month check up. SHOTS! UGH!! Then the Dr. told me his head circumference was off the charts for his age and she wants to get a CAT scan next week. She said 99% of the time it turns out to be nothing, but she would feel better if she knew for sure.

At first, I wasn't too worried---I mean I had a big head when I was a baby and Danny did too. The nurse called and was making plans with the hospital for the scan, she mentioned that he would have to have general anesthesia. I don't like the fact that he is going to have to go under!! So, I was getting a little worried---then I started looking on the internet.....EGADS!! Then I got REALLY WORRIED!!

I really hope nothing is wrong. I personally can't see anything wrong with him, it's not like he has a circus freak head or anything. To me, he looks PERFECT!!
